Food rewards can provide immediate feedback and give dogs a strong reason to repeat successful choices.
About Wet Nose Knowledge
Wet Nose Knowledge grew from a love of dogs and a desire to help them build the skills they need to live happier, more confident lives alongside their people.
Michael has spent the past seven years training dogs of different ages, sizes, temperaments, and experience levels. Along the way, he has worked with everything from puppies learning their first commands to adult dogs needing more consistency, confidence, or help with challenging behavior.
That experience has reinforced a simple idea: every dog learns a little differently. Good training starts by understanding the dog in front of you, finding what motivates them, and creating clear opportunities for success.
Today, Wet Nose Knowledge brings positive reinforcement training directly into homes throughout Clarksville and Montgomery County, helping dogs and their owners build practical skills that carry into everyday life.
Clear communication, positive reinforcement, and training designed around the individual dog.
How We Train
Wet Nose Knowledge uses positive reinforcement to make learning clear and rewarding. Instead of focusing only on what a dog gets wrong, training creates opportunities to recognize and reward the behaviors we want to see again.
Food rewards can provide immediate feedback and give dogs a strong reason to repeat successful choices.
For dogs motivated by play, toys can become an effective reward while keeping training active and engaging.
Clickers can mark the exact moment a desired behavior happens, making it easier for a dog to connect the behavior with the reward that follows.
Dogs value different rewards. Finding what your dog responds to helps make training more productive, enjoyable, and personal.
Experience You Can Trust
Effective dog training takes more than knowing a list of commands. It comes from experience working with different dogs, recognizing their individual needs, and understanding how to communicate clearly.
Hands-On Experience
Hands-on experience working with puppies and adult dogs across different sizes, temperaments, and behavior needs.
AKC Recognition
Michael is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, supporting dogs and owners working toward good manners, responsible behavior, and stronger everyday skills.
Individual Dogs. Individual Training.
Some dogs are energetic and eager to work. Others are cautious, anxious, easily distracted, or still learning how to feel comfortable in the world around them.
Wet Nose Knowledge works with dogs of different ages, sizes, temperaments, and experience levels — including anxious dogs and dogs with more challenging or aggressive behavior.
That's why training isn't treated as a rigid formula. The goal is to understand the dog in front of us, identify what motivates them, and build skills in a way that gives that individual dog the best opportunity to succeed.
